Meet Rochelle
Assisting chair side over long hours of surgery takes its toll on the body. After years of backaches, neck twinges, and sick days to see the physio, she took matters into her own hands.
Rochelle started practicing and studying yoga to help her maintain a healthy posture during her extensive surgery hours. Now a fully qualified yoga teacher in 3 different disciplines, she has curated some of the best exercises, stretches, and poses for muscular support and teaches posture correction for the whole dental team.
The added bonus to this unique practice (which also incorporates gentle breath work and mindfulness) is the calming of the nervous system to promote a healthy mindset, the benefits of which can be felt by assistants, surgeons, and patients alike.
